Driver's vehicle towed, impounded after nabbed for impaired driving

(FORT FRANCES, ON) – On June 19, 2015, 2014 at 2:36 p.m. officers of the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a motor vehicle in the ditch near the intersection of McIrvine Road and Eighth Street in Fort Frances, ON.

After speaking with the driver, determined the driver had been drinking.

The driver Robert NICHOLL, age 25 of Fort Frances failed the roadside test and was subsequently arrested.

The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for seven days. The driver was transported to Fort Frances Detachment and subsequently charged with Driving with More than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in 100 Milliliters of Blood following the results of Breathalyzer tests.

NICHOLLS will appear in Fort Frances Court on July 6, 2015 to answer to the charge.
