Driving with cocaine sends man directly to jail

(Thunder Bay, ON) - On April 18, 2016 members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) with assistance from uniformed members of the Thunder Bay OPP conducted a traffic stop on Highway 11/17, west of Kakabeka Falls.

(Thunder Bay, ON) - On April 18, 2016 members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) with assistance from uniformed members of the Thunder Bay OPP conducted a traffic stop on Highway 11/17, west of Kakabeka Falls.

As a result of the traffic stop and further investigation, officers located approximately 29 grams of Cocaine within the vehicle.

A  62-year-old Conmee Township man was arrested and charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Schedule I Cocaine, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

He is being held in custody for a video court appearance on April 19th 2016.
