Drone show cancelled on Wednesday, will go ahead on Thursday

Weather blamed for postponement of the show, which will instead be held on Sept. 19.

THUNDER BAY -- Wednesday's much anticipated drone show at Marina Park has been postponed until Sept. 19, organizers citing weather concerns. 

Thursday's second show is expected to go ahead as planned, according to a release issued on Tuesday by the City of Thunder Bay. 

The Live on the Waterfront portion of Wednesday's show will also go ahead as planned, featuring music, vendors, artisans, community booths and more. 

Boom Town kicks things off on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. followed by Throwback and Amanda Keeles. 

Thursday's concert lineup includes Cassidy Hourston at 6:30 p.m., followed by Katherine Nemec, the Lockyer Boys and then the drone show, which is scheduled for 9:45 p.m.
