Drug trade takes a hit after raid by multiple police forces

A significant amount of drugs and a gun were seized in a raid last week.

THUNDER BAY — Provincial police performed a drug bust in the city with the help of Thunder Bay Police and NAPS through the Provincial Joint Forces Guns and Gangs Enforcement Team. 

Police targeted a home on Brock Street East last week and arrested three people in the process. 

During the raid, police collected a significant amount of fentanyl, cocaine, and crack cocaine. 

A handgun was also seized during the search, 15 rounds of ammunition, five cellphones and more than $5,000 in Canadian cash. 

Of the accused, a 37-year-old woman from Thunder Bay has been charged, along with a 29-year-old man from Scarborough and a 17-year-old from Brampton, who are all facing a total of 15 drug-related charges. 

All of the accused have future dates with the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay.
