Dryden police officer charged with impaired driving

THUNDER BAY -- Thunder Bay Police charged an officer with the Dryden Police Service with impaired driving.

The Dryden Police Service announced Tuesday that the charge is in connection with an incident in Thunder Bay on June 18.

The officer was off duty at the time.

The 13-year veteran of the Dryden police service is currently on leave.

Neither the Thunder Bay nor the Dryden police service has released the officer's name.

The Dryden police service has begun an investigation under the Ontario Police Services Act.
