Dryden woman killed in Highway 17 crash

(KENORA, ON) - Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a westbound single tractor trailer unit (TTU) and an east bound mini-van just before 5:30 pm on Sunday June 21, 2015. 

The collision occurred on Highway 17 in Bridges Township.

The female driver of the mini-van, Krysten Norris, 25,  off Dryden Ontario, was pronounced dead at the scene and the female passenger sustained non-life threatening injuries. The male driver of the TTU did not sustain any injuries.

The road was opened to one lane approximately four hours after OPP arrived on scene. The investigation by OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) is still continuing.
