ServiceOntario, which provides dozens of services, including driver’s licence and vehicle permit renewal, newborn registration and death certificates, will be closing its Ear Falls office as of Jan. 30.

No reason was given in a media release issued on Friday morning.

The provincially-run department’s nearest office is in Red Lake, 71 kilometres away. ServiceOntrio also referred clients to its Dryden location, 145 kilometres away.

Many of ServiceOntario’s services are accessible online, including driver’s licence renewal.
