A structural fire on the grounds of the Thunder Bay Christian Fellowship on Syndicate Avenue is being deemed suspicious by Thunder Bay Fire Services.
Shortly after 2 a.m. firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke pouring from a boarded-up storage shed. Crews battled through cold weather for three hours to bring the blaze under control.
Fire officials said because the building was unused and all utilities were disconnected, they suspect foul play might be involved.
Damage to the building was heavy, but no one was injured.
