THUNDER BAY – A local event is helping keep Thunder Bay green and clean this Earth Day.
Avista Realty Group is holding an Earth Day event on the corner of Beverly and Balmoral streets.
Residents are welcome to drop off debris at the junk away bin, and they can also bring any reuseable items to the Twice as Nice trailer. Furthermore, residents who have documents they wish to securely shred in exchange for a donation to Roots to Harvest or Lakehead Conservation Authority.
The realestate agency will also be giving away 500 white spruce seedlings to take home and plant.
Residents can also enter their name into a ballot box for a chance to win a giftcard from Masala Grille or Dolce Coffee House.
Residents have until 5 p.m. on Earth Day to work together to keep the city clean, green and beautiful.
