THUNDER BAY – A local elementary school class is trying to do their part to help an earthquake ravaged country across the world.
The Grade 3/4 class at Claude E. Garton School will be hosting a bake sale and lemonade stand outside the Skaf’s Food Basics store in Current River on Wednesday.
Proceeds raised from the event will be donated to the Red Cross for earthquake relief in Nepal, as well as the Regional Food Distribution Association to help closer to home.
The bake sale and lemonade stand will run from noon until 2:30 p.m.
