THUNDER BAY — Members of the Thunder Bay Police Service were maintaining a visible presence in a south-side neighbourhood Friday evening.
In a brief statement shortly after 7:30 pm, the TBPS said primary response officers were dispatched at about 5:30 to the vicinity of Syndicate Ave. South and New Vickers St.
Details were not provided but police said there was not believed to be a current threat to public safety.
Members of the public were asked to avoid the area.
The TBPS said updates would be provided as they became available.
