Emergency repair knocks out power in rural area east of city

THUNDER BAY -- An emergency repair knocked out power from the unincorporated area east of Thunder Bay all the way to Caramat on Sunday morning. A Hydro One release says the 10-minute outage that began at 9:42 a.m.

THUNDER BAY -- An emergency repair knocked out power from the unincorporated area east of Thunder Bay all the way to Caramat on Sunday morning.

A Hydro One release says the 10-minute outage that  began at 9:42 a.m. impacted around 1,200 homes in Thunder Bay's unorganized area, Pamela Lake, Longlac, Croll, Long Lake #58 First Nation, Long Lake #77 First Nation, Caramat and Daley.

Hydro One says multpile crews are on site but it's not yet clear what caused the outage. 

The release urges the public to stay clear of downed power lines or equipment.
