The District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board Employee Campaign for the United Way Raises $30,000

The District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board (TBDSSAB) staff are pleased to announce that a total of $30,071 has been collected through the Employee Campaign for the United Way. Employee Campaign Chair Andrew Scavarelli and his Campaign Team presented the cheque to United Way Assistant Executive Director Jered Zieroth.

The funds were collected through a number of initiatives such as voluntary payroll deductions; special events; and “dress down” days, held every Friday, which provide employees an opportunity to wear more casual attire in exchange for a donation.

Participation in the campaign by the nearly 180 TBDSSAB employees in the voluntary initiative remained high throughout the year. The Employee Campaign for the United Way averaged $2,505 per month in 2015.

“TBDSSAB staff are thrilled at the amount raised over the past year,” said TBDSSAB Employee Campaign Chair Andrew Scavarelli.

“The United Way funds numerous local charities that do excellent work in the community and in many instances serve the same population as the TBDSSAB,” said CAO, Bill Bradica.
