Engine derails at Canadian Pacific Rail Yard

Locomotive engine had to be lifted back on the rails.

THUNDER BAY -- Railway officials in Thunder Bay spent much of Wednesday evening trying to right a Canadian Pacific Railway engine that appears to have slipped off the tracks.

Cranes were brought in to lift the engine back into place at the CP Railway Yard in Westfort.

There is no indication at this time if there were any injuries or what the cause of the derailment might be.

TBNewswatch has reached out to Canadian Pacific for comment and details are expected shortly.
