Aboriginal entrepreneurs and aspiring business owners came together Wednesday to learn basic skills for growing a business in the Northwest.
The Community Economic Development Commission hosted the event, making six stops across Ontario to better educate Aboriginal entrepreneurs.
The Thunder Bay event featured speakers from around the region discussing some key tools to help them be successful.
About 85,000 Aboriginal people are running their own business, according to Bank of Canada's Cheryl Watson.
She added events like the one hosted by the CEDC give aspiring and new entrepreneurs a stepping stone toward future success.
