A rainy weekend outlook has the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority on the alert.
Officials with the LRCA say more than 70 millimetres of rain is expected over the next five days, the bulk of which is expected on Sunday.
That means water levels will increase in lakes and rivers across the Thunder Bay region.
There is also a chance of flooding in low lying areas.
The LRCA is advising the public to exercise caution around waterways and to continue to monitor weather forecasts over the weekend.
