A single motor vehicle collision near Beardmore, Ont. has left a 40-year-old-man from Saint Pamphile, Que. dead.
Nipigon OPP responded to a collision along Highway 11 south of Beardmore on Friday. Police say a tractor-trailer heading west drove off into a ditch then stopped in the middle of the highway blocking two lanes of traffic. Police say the man was pronounced dead at the scene and was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
Police closed the highway for seven hours before they opened a single lane of traffic.
The investigation is ongoing.
