FedNor, NOHFC invest in expanded broadband Internet for Greenstone

Greenstone is the latest region in the North to receive an expansion to its high speed Internet service. On Tuesday the provincial and federal governments announced $3.3 million investment to expand broadband Internet in the area.

On Tuesday the provincial and federal governments announced $3.3 million investment to expand broadband Internet in the area.

FedNor will contribute half of the funding while the province's Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation will contribute the remainder.

The funding will pay for an upgrade of existing equipment as well as the installation of 48 kilometres of new fibre optic cable.
