Feds commit $4.3 million for Pukaskwa park upgrades

THUNDER BAY -- The Federal government has announced a major infrastructure investment for Pukaskwa National Park near Marathon. The government will spend a total of $4.3 million on upgrades to the park.

THUNDER BAY -- The Federal government has announced a major infrastructure investment for Pukaskwa National Park near Marathon. 

The government will spend a total of $4.3 million on upgrades to the park.

That includes $1 million to improve the administration building, and $2.7 million repave the park's entry road off Highway 17. 

Another $480,000 will be spent to highlight Pukaskwa s unique role in forest fire management, for park visitors and people learning about the park online.
