Feds, province to make Friday announcements in city

THUNDER BAY -- Thunder Bay and Northwestern will be getting a little extra attention Friday from both upper levels of government.

THUNDER BAY -- Thunder Bay and Northwestern will be getting a little extra attention Friday from both upper levels of government.

The federal Liberals will be in town for an unspecified announcement by MP Patty Hajdu on behlf of Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Navdeep Bains tied to information and telecommunications technology entrepreneurship in the region.

On the provincial level, Northern Development and Mines Minister Michael Gravelle and Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry will make a economic development announcement at the Thunder Bay Port Authority office.

Meanwhile in the region, Caroline Bennett, the minister of Indigenous and northern affairs, will be spending the day in Neskantaga First Nation.
