THUNDER BAY – A late night structural fire on the city’s north side is under investigation.
According to a release, Thunder Bay Fire Rescue responded to a structural fire on Albany Street Wednesday around 10:15 p.m.
The first arriving crew saw heavy smoke and flame coming from the home.
Crews called a second alarm.
An offensive transitional attack was taken, which knocked down the fire so a crew member could make entry into the basement where the fire had started and extinguish the blaze.
All occupants of the home evacuated after being alerted by their smoke alarms.
The fire is under investigation.
TBFR would like to remind residents that a working smoke detector saves lives.
