THUNDER BAY – A local business is showing its resiliency.

After its store was destroyed by a Friday evening fire last week, the business owners of Fresh Air Experience and Cyclepath have continued its operation.

The owners have set up a tent next to the burned building and continue to sell bicycles, which are being unpacked from their warehouse. They’ve also continued to offer bike repair services on site.

Employees and managers say they’re working on getting a better set-up for the next few months until the store is rebuilt.

Long-time manager Alan Cranston says the community has been very supportive throughout the whole ordeal.

“Facebook, texting, just everyone wanting to get together and support us … it’s just overwhelming what people are willing to do,” Cranston said. “

Meanwhile, the scene of the fire has been released to the insurance company, and Cranston hopes to have the store back up and running in about six months.
