Fire damages Algonquin Avenue garage

No one hurt in Friday morning fire.

THUNDER BAY -- A structural fire damaged an Algonquin Avenue garage on Friday morning, but no one was injured as a result

According to a release issued by Thunder Bay Fire Rescue, the fire broke out around 11:30 a.m. and when crews arrived on scene the garage was fully involved in flames.

Firefighters were able to knock down the exterior fire and moved quickly to the interior of the building, where they completed their extinguishment of the fire.

A resident of the home was checked out by paramedics, as a precaution.
