THUNDER BAY – A 25-year-old Confederation College student has been charged with unsafe storage of a firearm after two weapons were seized inside his campus residence.

City police, in a release issued on Wednesday, said they were alerted to the possibility of the guns, by a student.

Officers attended the residence and seized two firearms.

Police say students and the general public should be aware that Confederation College prohibits firearms on campus.

The investigation continues.
