THUNDER BAY – Firefighters responded to an early morning garage fire on the city’s south end.
Thunder Bay Fire Rescue crews responded to a call Wednesday around 1:45 a.m. on the 800 block of Finlayson Street to find a small garage at the rear of the property on fire.
Thirteen firefighters were able to bring the fire under control.
A hydrant was used to provide water supply for spot fires and refilled the pumper supply tank.
Hydro and telephone lines close by suffered some damage as flames were shooting above the roof line and produced a significant amount of heat.
The incident is under investigation.
