Firefighters successfully snuffed out an apartment fire on Simpson Street early Thursday morning.
Thunder Bay Fire and Rescue crews were called to the scene at an apartment building at 236 Simpson Street just after midnight Thursday. Heavy smoke could be seen coming from the building when firefighters arrived.
Firefighters quickly located and extinguished the fire.Damage was contained to a single unit, and there were no injuries reported as a result of the blaze.
Firefighters from the Brown, James and Vickers station responded to the fire.
The incident is now under investigation.
