THUNDER BAY – Firefighters made quick work of a north side garage fire, one of two blazes reported early Monday morning.

Thunder Bay Fire and Rescue firefighters responded to reports of the garage fire just after 5 a.m. at 237 South Algoma Street. A second alarm was called in for that fire soon after.

The blaze was under control about 20 minutes after firefighters arrived on scene.

At about 6:20 a.m., firefighters responded to reports of a trailer fire near the intersection of Bay and Water.

The contents of the trailer were damaged, but fire did not spread to the nearby SubZero Crossfit gym.
