The following information has been provided by the Rainy River detachment of the OPP.
FORT FRANCES, Ont. -- On January 18, 2015 at 5:23 am officers of the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a robbery at a residence located on the 1000 block of Crowe Avenue in Fort Frances, On.
Investigation revealed a male had entered the residence and assaulted the lone female occupant. The female was taken to hospital and later released. As a result of the investigation Tylar GOSSELIN, age 28 years of Fort Frances was charged with Robbery and Uttering Threats. He remains in police custody and will be attending Fort Frances Court for a Bail Hearing on January 19, 2015.
Local detachment members are continuing to investigate the incident with the assistance of the Fort Frances OPP Crime Unit, OPP North West Region Forensic Identification Unit and the OPP North West Region Canine Unit.
