Fort Frances man faces impaired driving charges

FORT FRANCES, Ont. – A 57-year-old Fort Frances resident is facing impaired driving charges following an afternoon traffic stop.

Ontario Provincial Police conducted a traffic stop with a driver suspected of being suspended on Tuesday around 2 p.m.

Police said an investigation was conducted involving a roadside screening device.

As a result of the investigation, a 57-year-old of Fort Frances has been charged with operating a conveyance with 80 or more milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

He has also been charged with driving while suspended and operating a motor vehicle with no insurance.

The OPP is committed to safety for all who utilize Ontario's roadways. Members of the public are urged to report Impaired Driving by calling 911 in emergency situations. Complaints of impaired, aggressive or careless driving can also be made by calling 1-888-310-1122.
