Four Mac's robbers apprehended, police search for one more

THUNDER BAY -- Police have apprehended four out of five males who allegedly robbed a south side Mac's on Thursday night.

THUNDER BAY -- Police have apprehended four out of five males who allegedly robbed a south side Mac's on Thursday night.

According to the Thunder Bay Police Service, the men brandished knives and hammers as they held up the convenience store on the corner of Dease and May streets around 10 p.m.

They stole cash and cigarettes before leading officers on a short foot chase. One man was able to escape and remains at large.

The Mac's clerk was not injured in the robbery.
