Four new COVID-19 cases in Kenora, Sioux Lookout regions

The Northwestern Health Unit announced four new cases of COVID-19 Friday.

KENORA – The Northwestern Health Unit reported four new confirmed cases of COVID-19 Friday.

Three of those cases were located in the health unit’s Kenora region, and one in the Sioux Lookout region.

Both are large areas containing over a dozen communities, with full lists available at the NWHU website.

There were 23 active cases of COVID-19 confirmed in the health unit’s territory, which includes the Rainy River district and part of the Kenora district, as of Friday.

Anyone identified as a close contact of Friday’s cases would be contacted directly by the health unit, the agency stated.
