Officials with the Ministry of Natural Resources say it was a quiet Sunday for fire activity in the Northwest.
While four new fires were reported in this region Saturday, no new fires were confirmed for Sunday.
None of the fires reported on the Saturday were in the Thunder Bay district, with one each in Nipigon and Red Lake and two in Sioux Lookout.
The MNR says the hazard rating in most of the Northwest is low, with the exception of the eastern half of Nipigon, which is now moderate to high.
