THUNDER BAY - A four-vehicle crash backed up afternoon traffic on the Thunder Bay Expressway.
In a media release issued later Wednesday afternoon, the OPP said around 3 p.m. an eastbound sedan on the highway stopped after an emergency vehicle with lights flashing proceeded through the intersection. Three other vehicles approached the sedan from behind and were involved in rear end collisions.

One vehicle, another sedan, suffered extensive damage while the other three were reported to have suffered moderate damage.
No injuries were reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
