(KENORA, ON) Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Kenora detachment have charged four youths following an early morning break in over the weekend.
On Sunday April 19, 2015 shortly after 5:00 am, the Kenora OPP received a report of a break and enter in progress in Keewatin.
The homeowners reported there were four males in their residence. Police attended the residence immediately but the suspects had left the scene.
The police investigation revealed a second break and enter had occurred in the same area later in the morning. Following a door to door canvass by Police, information was received that led to the location and subsequent arrest of the suspects.
As a result of this investigation, four youths ages 13, 16, 16 and 17 years old have been charged with two counts each of Break and Enter a Dwelling House contrary to section 348(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.
They have been released for Youth Court on June 2, 2015.
