City of Thunder Bay PSA -- Free Compost Still Available
Free compost suitable for lawns and flower gardens is still available at the Solid Waste & Recycling Facility on Mapleward Road.
Get yours while quantities last. The pick-up area is located just east of the old landfill entrance on John Street Road. Hours of operation at the compost pick-up area are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm.
Residents are advised to bring a shovel and some bags or containers to carry their compost home.
Quantities limited to a maximum of one half ton load per resident. Contact 625-2195 for details.
