Friends of Chippewa aim to raise money during holidays

Friends of Chippewa Park are reminding city residents that shopping local this Christmas could help finish the Chippewa Carousel.

The Friends of Chippewa Park invite you to help them finish the Carousel restoration by shopping local this Christmas and purchasing unique gifts that celebrate the 105-year-old Carousel.

“We have added two very special items to our inventory” said Bonnie McNulty, Co-chair of the Restoration Committee. “A one-of-a-kind neck warmer and three jigsaw puzzles feature images from the Carousel are now available for sale.”

“We are pleased to have partnered with two local companies, North Shore Puzzles and Mallon’s to create the two new items now available for purchase,” said McNulty” both are ideal Christmas gifts as are the rest of our merchandise.”

The Friends of Chippewa Park continue to sell Carousel motif T-Shirts, coasters, Christmas Tree ornaments and cards, along with note cards and other items.,

The public are invited to visit their booth at the Country Market on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 1 p.m.

All of the merchandise can also be ordered from www.chippewapark.ca with Thunder Bay orders delivered directly to the home. All others will be mailed.

All profits will go towards completing the restoration of the Chippewa Park Carousel.
