Gambling council in Thunder Bay asking people to gamble responsibly

THUNDER BAY -- The Responsible Gambling Council is in town until Saturday letting people know it's not wrong to gamble, just do it responsibly. Spokesperson Heather Lee said there are local options for someone who may need help.

The Sister Margaret Smith Centre is a great local resource to help anyone dealing with a gambling problem.

"Not only the gambler but the friends and the family of the gambler as well," she said.

Lee estimates about 4,000 adults in the Thunder Bay area are negatively impacted by gambling.
