Construction work on a natural gas is slowing down traffic along one of Thunder Bay's busiest streets this week.
Both southbound lanes of Memorial Avenue are closed to traffic between Central Avenue and 10th Avenue.
The closure began Monday morning and is expected to continue until Friday at about 5 p.m.
The work will allow Union Gas crews to perform gas line maintenance in the area.
A detour route has been put in place for motorists travelling along Central Avenue, which will take them down MacDonell Street to 10th.
Businesses located on Memorial Avenue can be access via this detour.
