Gas prices drop below $1.90 a litre

At least one Thunder Bay station has dropped its price below $1.85 a litre.

THUNDER BAY – The price of gasoline has started to tumble.

After hitting a high of $2.299 for a litre of regular unleaded last month in Thunder Bay, a number of stations in the city have dropped back below the $1.90 mark.

Simply Gas on East Avenue is offering the lowest price in the city, at $1.846 a litre, while a handful of other stations in the Red River Road areas have dropped to $1.886.

Not all stations are following suit.

The Esso at Memorial and Central Avenue is up to $2.089 a litre, according to OntarioGasPrices.com.

At Fort William First Nation, Bannon’s Gas Bar on City Road has the lowest prices in the Thunder Bay area, where a litre of regular unleaded is going for $1.689.

The Ontario average is $1.902, while the Canadian average is $1.973.
