Gas prices jump six cents

Gas prices around the city appear to be on the rise again. Pump prices at some area gas bars jumped by nearly six cents a litre Thursday. Many gas stations around Thunder By are now selling gas for about $1.39-a-litre.

Pump prices at some area gas bars jumped by nearly six cents a litre Thursday. Many gas stations around Thunder By are now selling gas for about $1.39-a-litre.

The average price for regular gas in Ontario is about $1.35-a-litre, while the national average is hovering around $1.30.

But despite the price increase, Thunder Bay isn’t the worst place to fill up your tank in Ontario. According to ontariogasprices.com, the highest fuel prices in the province can be found in Wawa, where it costs drivers nearly $1.48-a-litre.

The cheapest pump price in Ontario can be found at a gas bar in Caledonia, where fuel is selling for $1.17.
