Gas prices on rise in Thunder Bay

Several stations have boosted prices to $1.359 a litre in the city.
Consumer price index for October up 1.0 % from year ago, driven by food costs

THUNDER BAY – Gas prices are starting to spike in Thunder Bay.

According to OntarioGasPrices.com, six stations in the city have hiked prices to $1.359 a litre for regular unleaded fuel, making them among the highest in the province.

The Ontario average is $1.159.

A station in Sioux Lookout is recorded with the most expensive gas in the province, selling a litre of fuel for $1.427.

It’s not all bad news for motorists – yet.

Several stations are still selling gas for $1.249 a litre. And in nearby Fort William First Nation, Bannon’s Gas Bar is offering it up for $1.169 a litre.
