THUNDER BAY -- Local motorists filling up on the first Monday after Christmas likely noticed little difference from the last time they were at a gas bar, as the per-litre low in this city remains at $1.046.
According to the online gas price watchdog ontariogasprices.com, Superstore was the cheapest place to buy regular gasoline as of Monday morning.
Meanwhile, the highest price listed was at the Esso on John Street Road and Valley Street, where gas was being sold at $1.139 per litre. That’s down slightly from the prices listed just before Christmas.
Gas prices at stations in neighbouring Fort William First Nations also saw little change since Christmas. The cheapest fuel price found there was at THP Variety and Gas Bar, which sold gas at 89.5-cents-per-litre.
Ontario’s average price remains at 96.1-cents a litre and is listed as stable.
