Gas Watch: per-litre prices jump above dollar mark again

THUNDER BAY – Several gas bars across the city are now selling regular gasoline above the dollar-per-litre mark as prices continue to rise across the province.

According to the online gas price watchdog ontariogasprices.com, the average per-litre price for regular gasoline in Ontario sits at 91.2-cents-per-litre.

In Thunder Bay there are more than five confirmed gas bars selling their fuel between $1.01-to-$1.05 per litre. Most other gas bars around the city remain below the dollar-per-litre mark, with the cheapest being 95.9-cents at the Superstore, however prices appear to be rising with nearly every update.

Across the country, the average price for gas is about 93-cents-per litre.

Motorists can get gas as low as 88.9-cents-per litre at neighbouring Fort William First Nations.
