THUNDER BAY -- Ontario’s average per-litre price for regular gasoline is now at 92.8 cents, but local residents continue to pay more than a dollar-per-litre for their fuel.

Gas prices were stable throughout much of the holidays, but now those prices are beginning to fall again. While you can’t find gas south of the dollar-per-litre price right now, the Husky on Highway 130 is the closest local station with its prices set at $1.024-a-litre.

The Superstore, traditionally the cheapest gas bar in the city, was listed at slightly above that with a price of $1.027.

The most expensive gas bars can be found at the Esso on John Street Road and Valley Street and the Esso at Maple Ward and Dawson Roads. Both of those stations had prices listed at $1.099.

If you aren’t actively looking for the cheapest gas bar Monday morning, than you can expect to pay between $1.039- to $1.059-per litre.

At neighbouring Fort William First Nation, the cheapest gas bar as of Monday morning was K&A Variety and Gas Bar, which was selling its fuel at 87.5-cents-per-litre.

The above prices were provided by the online gas price watchdog ontariogasprices.com. Prices may change periodically throughout the day; the above prices represent a snapshot of early Monday morning.
