THUNDER BAY – Gas prices are falling across the province, and the city’s isn’t bucking the trend.
According to the online gas price watchdog Ontariogasprices.com, regular gas was selling for as low as $1.249-a-litre at some local pumps. That’s a significant drop from the nearly $1.40-a-litre prices that many gas bars had posted not even a week ago.
The highest price reported in Thunder Bay as of 8 a.m. Wednesday was $1.369.
Gas prices are falling across Ontario, with the province’s average sitting at $1.05-a-litre as of Wednesday morning. The national average at that same time was listed as $1.11.
The cheapest gas in Ontario can be found in St. Catharines, where a gas war has led to prices as low as 79-cents-a-litre.
