Gas Watch: Prices on the rise ahead of long weekend

THUNDER BAY – Gas prices across the city appear to be on the rise as the long weekend approaches. According to ontariogasprices.com, several gas bars in Thunder Bay are now reported to be charging $1.

THUNDER BAY – Gas prices across the city appear to be on the rise as the long weekend approaches.

According to ontariogasprices.com, several gas bars in Thunder Bay are now reported to be charging $1.11 per litre, a jump of more than five cents per litre.

The Ontario average is $1.03 cents per litre.

The lowest price reported Tuesday afternoon is at the Real Canadian Superstore, at $1.049 per litre.

In neighbouring Fort William First Nation the lowest prices are 97 cents per litre at Bannon’s Gas Bar as well as K&A Gas Bar and Variety.
