THUNDER BAY -- The lowest price fuel motorists will find Thursday morning is 96.9 cents per litre.
That’s the price listed, as of Thursday morning, at the Superstore gas bar off of Memorial Avenue. Meanwhile, the per-litre high for regular gasoline remains above the dollar-per-litre mark as two stations continue to sell fuel at $1.069 a litre.
The Esso station on John Street Road and Valley Street along with the Can-Op gas bar at John Street Road and Woodcrest Road were both at that price Thursday morning.
Motorists not looking for the best deal at the pump likely paid 97.9-cents per litre. That’s the price listed at most gas bars across the city.
At neighbouring Fort William First Nations, the lowest reported gas price could be found at K&A Variety and Gas Bar where fuel is being sold at 81 cents per litre.
