Gas Watch: Wednesday’s per-litre low at 96.9 cents; high at $1.069

THUNDER BAY -- Ten cents now separates the lowest gas price from the highest in this city. As of Wednesday morning, the Superstore sold Thunder Bay’s cheapest regular gasoline with a price of 96.9 cents per litre.

As of Wednesday morning, the Superstore sold Thunder Bay’s cheapest regular gasoline with a price of 96.9 cents per litre. Meanwhile two local gas bars, the Can-Op on John Street Road and Woodcrest Road and the Esso at John Street Road and Valley Street, both had prices listed at $1.069.

But gas prices still continue to trend downward in this city, with most gas bars now selling fuel between 97.9 cents per litre to 98.7 cents.

At neighbouring Fort William First Nations, the lowest price is listed at 83 cents at  Rita’s Cafe and Gas Bar.

The province’s average per-litre price for regular gasoline was at 88 cents, while the national average was slightly higher at 90.3 cents.

The prices in Ontario are said to be stable.
