Rock 94, 91.5 CKPR, Energy 103 104 is proud to support the GenNext Dodgeball Tournament in support of the United Way Thunder Bay.

The United Way of Thunder Bay’s GenNext Cabinet will be holding their 9th Annual Dodgeball Tournament on June 4 at the LU Hanger. All money raised at this adrenaline-fueled event supports the United Way and stays right here in our community to help local people who are struggling.

Mixed teams of 10 are invited to test their luck and skill in this 16 team tournament.

Teams are guaranteed a minimum of 5 games, and have a chance to compete for great prizes.

Dodgeball:

EVENT DATE: June 4, 2016

TIME: 9am registration, 10am start times

LOCATION: Lakehead University Hangar

TEAMS: 10 players per team, games start with 6 players per court plus 2 ball runners and 2 spares. All games must start with at least 2 males and 2 females on each court. All players must be at least 18 years of age.

GAMES: Teams are guaranteed a minimum of 5 matches, each match is best of 5 rounds.

REGISTRATION: Each player must pay a $40 registration fee to play, this fee is payable online when you sign up or by cash/cheque due to the United Way Office due by Friday, March 25th.

FUNDRAISING: In addition to registration fees per player, each team is required to fundraise a minimum of $1000/team. Funds to be collected online using this website. Minimum fundraising amount must be reached by Friday, April 1st at midnight. Teams not meeting this requirement will be prohibited from progressing to finals during the tournament, as well as excluded from potential to win prizing (with exception of top fundraising individual). All donations over $20 will receive a tax receipt.

TEAM CAPTAINS: All teams will have a designated Captain who will be responsible for main communications between team and tournament officials. We recommend this individual also attend the team training session.

TEAM TRAINING: The week prior to the event there will be a team training event where teams will be given rules and allowed practice time if they so choose. We strongly recommend each team send on representative to this event, probably the team captain.
