THUNDER BAY – City police responded to more than 238 calls during the week of Monday, July 13 to Sunday, July 19.
Thunder Bay Police Service statistics are made available through crimereports.com, a website that tracks reported crime via information provided by local police services.
The more than 238 incidents reported last week is an estimate and does not include traffic cases.
South of the Harbour Expressway police responded to 133 incidents. Some of the more serious calls included:
• 15 assaults
• 9 break and enters
• 2 sexual assaults
• 18 thefts
• 6 theft from vehicle
• 2 theft of vehicle
• 3 weapons
Meanwhile, north of the Harbour Expressway police responded to 105 incidents. Some of those more serious incidents included:
• 8 assaults
• 11 break and enters
• 2 sexual assaults
• 3 robberies
• 13 thefts
• 5 thefts from vehicle
• 3 weapons
The vast majority of cases responded to by city police continue to be listed as either liquor or disorder.
